During the opening, Mr. Shawki Ahmed Hayel Saeed, Chairman of the Board, delivered a motivational speech in which he addressed young people, urging them to hold fast to perseverance, determination, and ambition, and to make learning, knowledge, and self-development a constant path toward building the future. He emphasized that success does not come by chance, but through hard work and confidently facing challenges.

He affirmed that creative youth ideas represent the main driver of comprehensive development, noting that challenges and current circumstances do not eliminate ambition, and that the gap between reality and aspiration can be bridged through willpower. He stressed that “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

He also highlighted the vital role of the private sector in supporting these ideas through investment, financing, and direct support, as well as by creating enabling environments for work and training, and transforming creativity into tangible economic and developmental value through innovative business models that contribute to achieving sustainable development goals.

The Chairman emphasized that Tadhamon Bank’s presence at TEDxTaiz stems from its confidence in the importance of this event and in the high-quality ideas presented by youth—ideas that deserve to be shared and that help inspire and motivate generations toward a better future.
